Itinerary

Hey guys,

So I know I still haven't posted the rest of my last trip, but time is getting short here in Vaxjo, so that will have to wait - perhaps even until I get back stateside.   In less that 24 hours I get kicked out of my apartment and will go spend a night at Oskar's before heading out of my last grand European adventure - of this trip at least.  The itinerary I have set up looks unreal, but it's still bittersweet to be leaving Vaxjo.  After an amazing year it's that tough time of the year when goodbyes come out.  The first was this morning when Max left, and there are many more to come in the coming days, and even weeks, including my own.  After last semester I didn't expect to ever meet a group of people I could become so close with so soon, but this semester surprisingly did not disappoint.  Anyways, time is short, so I'll just get right to the details of the trip so that you can all know where I am.  The actual posts for the trip will come later on - and considering all the places I'll be and all the work that I have waiting for me at home, perhaps quite some time later, but I promise to get to them eventually.

As I said, Mike and I leave Sweden on Wednesday, and here's what's to follow:
*note that none of these pictures are mine, the ones I take will in the later posts and promise to be much more awesome ;)

The first stop is to stop at Andre's place in Oldenburg, Germany and drop off my two huge check in bags.
We get there on June 8th and will stay anywhere from a couple days to maybe even all the way to the
13th, depending on if we can squeeze a couple days in Berlin in at this point in the trip.
After that, on probably June 13th, we head over to Duisburg, Germany to visit Christoph and stay with him for a few days.  There are a number of big cities, like Cologne, right nearby so I expect some day trips to other cities as well.
Included in the nearby cities live some friends too.  I expect to visit and/or be visited by at least
Simon and Lorena while we are in the area.  We will stay around here until June 17th.
From June 17th to 20th, we will be in Munich, Germany.  This is where Mike will meet up with
his family and I will start the solo part of my journey
The night of the 20th, I go to Innsbruck, Austria and spend the next day there in the quintessential Austrian town.
On the night of the 22nd, I head from the Austrian Alps to a chain of towns in the Swiss Alps.
The first is Interlaken, Switzerland.
The next is Ginderwald, Switzerland.
On the way to the next town, I'll stop for a bit in the nearly Wengen, Switzerland.
The last town in this chain is Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland and I will be here until the 24th of June.

On the night of the 24th, I head to  Lugano, Switzerland for a day.

The night of the 25th, I head to nearby Locarno, Switzerland where I'll spend another day.
On the night of the 26th, I begin the Italian part of my journey as I head to Milan, Italy for a day.
After that I head to the Cinque Terre, another set of small towns, this
time on the Italian coastline.  The first of which is Monterosso, Italy.
The next city is Vernazza, Italy.
The middle village of the stretch is Corniglia, Italy.
The next city is Manarola, Italy.
The final town of the Cinque Terre is Riomaggiore, Italy.  I'll be here until the 30th of June.
On the night of the 30th, I head to Pisa, Italy to spend the first day of July.

Then I go to Florence, Italy to spend July 2nd.

That night I head to Bologna, Itlay to spend July 3rd there.
The night of the 3rd to the morning of the 5th, I'll be in Venice, Italy.
On the 5th, I leave Italy and stay 2 days in the coastal town of Piran, Slovenia.
I then head to Ljubljana, Slovenia to spend the 7th in the capital.
On the 8th, I head to the picturesque Bled, Slovenia to spend a couple days.
On the 10th, I spend the day in Klagenfurt am Worthersee, Austria.
The 11th and 12th I'll head back to Austria to spend in the beautiful town of Hallstatt, Austria.
The night of the 12th I head to Vienna, Austria to spend the 13th and 14th.
The night of the 14th I head to Bratislava, Slovakia to spend the next day.
The night of the 15th I head to Budapest, Hungary until the 17th.
After that I take one of the longer train rides of the trip, sleeping overnight on the train, to Krakow, Poland for the 18th and 19th.
The night of the 19th, I head to Wroclaw, Poland to spend the 20th.
The night of the 20th, I head to Prague, Czech Republic until the 22nd.

Then I head back to Germany to round out my sightseeing with a stop in Berlin, Germany on the 23rd and 24th.

At this point, besides being broke, exhausted and extremely tan, I'll be done sightseeing and head back to Oldenburg for the 25th to pick up my bags and say one last goodbye to Andre.  Following that I'll head to Copenhagen and fly back to the States on the 26th of July.

Every time I go through that itinerary I get excited about the trip to come, and the pictures just make it seem even better.  I hope it's everything I expect and more.  But back in the present, it's time to get back to packing and cleaning before any of that can happen.

Until next time, take it easy
